FAQs

Are your products natural?

Yes, all our products are all natural. They are 100% vegan and have NO parabens, silicone, artificial fragrances, artificial colours, dyes, petroleum, glycerin or beeswax.
Since our products are all natural, and don’t contain harmful chemical preservatives, the colour and odour may change over time, but the products remain as effective.

What should I do if I have an allergic or negative reaction to sassy products?

Our plant-based products are made in small batches in GMP-certified facilities. Our products have also been dermatologically tested safe by accredited labs.
They have been used by us and our Sassy community. We only make stuff for you that we love to use ourselves.

Though our products have no harmful chemicals, please do read our ingredient list on the labels to check if you are allergic to any ingredient. Do a small patch skin test to see if you have any reactions. Always consult a doctor before using any new product or in case you have an allergic reaction after using it.
Keep all products away from eyes, open wounds or irritated skin.

Do you test your products on animals?

No. We have 3 sassy lil pups named pumpkin 🎃 , guacamole 🥑 and lady 🐶.. We love our lil furry friends.

Is it safe to use your products while I’m pregnant?

We always recommend consulting your doctor before using any new products, especially when you’re pregnant or nursing. You could share the link to our product page with them (we mention all ingredients there).

Why does your lubricant come in a PET bottle?

We’re a startup so minimum order quantities don’t allow us to use environment friendly packaging yet. But we’ve partnered with Stree Mukti Sanghatana's programme—Parisar Bhagini Vikas Sangh—a registered organisation targeting women waste pickers of Mumbai—to launch a Recycling Program. Read more on that here.

What is pH compatible lubricant and why do I need it?

The pH of our lubricant is between 3.8 and 4.5 which makes it a perfect fit for a healthy vaginal pH of 4.0. DTF protects your huha from itches, irritation, UTIs or vaginal infections.

How do I know if it’s safe?

DTF is dermatologically-tested safe by accredited labs. It is water-based, making it safe to be used with all condoms.
It is made in small batches with aloe, flax seeds and tea tree extracts that work naturally to enhance vaginal lubrication, reduce dryness and help avoid yeast infections.
DTF is also pH-balanced so no more nasty itches or irritation down there. It has no added artificial colours, flavours, fragrances, glycerin, propylene glycol, ingredients that could cause itches, irritation or yeast infections.

Is DTF fertility safe?

DTF is paraben-free and glycerin-free. It also balances the pH of your huha. According to research, having glycerin and parabens in personal lubricants may lower sperm count.
We recommend that you consult your doctor on the best personal lubricant option for fertility. You could share the link to our product page with them (we mention all ingredients there).

How much lubricant should I apply at a time?

Lubrication makes fex more comfortable and adds that extra glide you need for a smooth ride. Mostly three pumps should be fine but if you need more, don’t hesitate to add another one. You do you, boo. There’s no rules here but what feels good.

What is the shelf-life of DTF?

The new batch of DTF works magically till July 31'2023.

Why do I need Neat body wash?
Most soaps or body washes are infused with harmful chemicals and are not compatible with the pH balance of the skin, which may cause irritation, dryness, flaky skin and inflammation.
Additionally, sulphates cause these products to foam more, which can be a skin irritant.

Neat is designed with a pH level of 5.3-6.5, with all natural ingredients that moisturise, hydrate and cleanse the skin, keeping all your body healthy (including your huha). The antioxidants help protect your skin against dirt, damage and environmental pollutants. Designed to be gentle on ‘Neat’ the skin including external intimate area, leaving no irritation.

Remember, you don’t need a vaginal wash/cleanser as the vagina is self-cleaning. It maintains the correct pH balance and cleans itself with natural secretions.

Our products are clean and we are transparent about each ingredient that goes inside. We bare it all on the back labels of our products too. You deserve to know what you’re putting in your body, babe.

100% Vegan | pH Balanced | No Parabens | No Sulfates | No Artificial Fragrances | No Artificial Colours | No Dyes | No Propylene Glycol | No Glycerin | No Gluten

Can I use Neat internally?
Neat is used as an external body wash. For humans with vulvas, the huha is self-cleansing, so keep it as is. Our body wash is something you can use on the vulvar skin and hair—around the external genitals.

Do I need an intimate wash/cleanser/deodorant?
No. The huha (the internal muscular canal that connects the uterus and cervix to the outside of the body), is a self-cleansing organ (also referred to as a “self-cleansing oven” by many) and doesn’t need a special product that claims to clean and reduce the odour of the huha. A healthy huha has good bacteria that helps maintain the right pH balance. And when it comes to how it smells, don’t worry, it is normal for a huha to have a unique, musky scent. Don’t use any deodorants, sprays and cleansers that say otherwise. You will do more harm than good.

What should I wash my vulva with?
Your vulva (the external genitalia) can be simply washed with our Neat body wash which is all natural, unperfumed, free of artificial fragrances and pH balanced to vulvar skin. Designed to be super gentle for your most sensitive bits.

Can I use Neat to wash my menstrual cup?
Absolutely. We have carefully designed Neat with all natural ingredients, minus any harsh surfactants, keeping your sensitive bits in mind. Clean your cup really well and protect it and your skin from any harmful chemicals or irritants. The mild ingredients also protect the silicone from getting damaged.

Can I use Neat to wash my massagers (Lit and OG)?
Yes. Neat is super mild and designed without any harmful ingredients or artificial fragrances. Wash your massagers with this gentle body wash and water. Neat’s mild ingredients protect the silicone from getting damaged.

What is the shelf-life of Neat?
The current batch of Neat works magically till July 2023.

Why do I need Clean Qween?
Because your “qween” don’t need no chemicals around it, babe.
Many chemical based detergents contain artificial fragrances, chlorinated bleaches, brighteners, nasty chemicals that could leave residue in your underwear, exposing your intimate areas to itches, rashes, UTIs and yeast infections.

Clean Qween is an all natural, biodegradable, plant based fabric wash, designed for your underwear/lingerie (and the most sensitive bits that touch it). Super gentle on skin, fabrics (including natural fibres) and hard on stubborn stains, blood stains, body oils, perspiration and dirt. Retains the softness and colour of the fabric after each wash.

Its antifungal and antibacterial properties help keep the most sensitive skin safe and prevent itches, rashes and infections.

Our products are clean and we are transparent about each ingredient that goes inside. We bare it all on the back labels of our products too. You deserve to know what you’re putting in your body, babe.

100% Vegan | pH Balanced | No Parabens | No Silicone | No Artificial Fragrances | No Artificial Colours | No Dyes | No Petrochemicals | No harsh chemical surfactants | No bleaching agents | No artificial brighteners | No SLS/SLES/ALS | No soaps | No phosphates | No caustic

Will it brighten my clothes?
Many regular laundry detergents use synthetic bleaches and optical brighteners (synthetic chemicals) to make garments look whiter and brighter. These are non-biodegradable and carcinogenic, hence harmful to the body.
Clean Qween uses plant based surfactants (chlorinated bleaches or optical brighteners are a BIG NO) to get rid of nasty stains and dirt, while being kind to the environment and body.

Can I use it for hand wash and machine wash?
Yes, you can use it for both (but we recommend a hand wash to save water).

For handwash/bucket wash (recommended due to delicate nature of lingerie):
Dilute about 10 ml (1.5 capful) of Clean Qween in 3 litres of warm water, for upto 7 undies/bras. Soak for 30-45 minutes. Wash with cold water. For blood stains and other stains, rub and wash lightly with an undiluted solution of Clean Qween.

For machine wash: Dilute about 30 ml (4.5 capful) of Clean Qween for 6 kg load.
For tough stains: Apply directly on stains, rub & wash lightly with an undiluted solution, let it stay for 10 mins and wash.
Always remember to use a mesh laundry wash bag to retain elasticity and prevent stretching or tearing. Air-dry/hang undies/lingerie on a drying rack.

Can it be used for all fabrics?
Yes, it’s designed to be super gentle on your delicates and other garments including natural fibres (e.g. cotton, silk, wool, linen, etc.)

Does it contain bleach?
Clean Qween is free from strong and harmful chemicals that act as bleaching agents that could irritate the intimate area.

Why should I wash my intimates separately?
According to research, there’s 1/10th of a gram of poop in the average pair of underwear, with a huge chance of spreading E.coli. Let’s not even get to what that means for washing kitchen cloths with undies.

Can I wash my period underwear with Clean Qween?
Yes. Our plant based fabric wash is designed for all underwear/lingerie (and the most sensitive bits that touch it). It’s gentle on the skin, fabrics (including natural fibres) and hard on blood stains. To clean the blood stains, rub and wash lightly with an undiluted solution of Clean Qween.

What is the shelf-life of Clean Qween?
The current batch of Clean Qween works magically till July 2023.

What are Lit and OG made of and is it safe for my body?
Lit/OG is designed with body safe, medical grade silicone and ABS plastic. It is free of any hazardous substances and is CE and RoHS certified.

What is the size of Lit?
'All good things come in cute lil packages', couldn’t be truer. Lit is super compact and it literally fits your palm, for a reason—in case you wanna go handsfree.

What is the size of OG?
OG is designed with a sturdy and long-ish handle so you can explore and take as much of it as you’d like, to as many places far and wide or all the way down G-town.

Is Lit meant for both external and internal use?
Lit is meant for external use. Many people find it intimidating to use a massager internally so we wanted Lit to solve that and be enjoyed by more people.

Is OG meant for both external and internal use?
OG can be used both externally and internally. It’s great to explore different sensations and spots and figure out what really gets you going. We recommend using a water-based lubricant like DTF to make the experience smoother and more comfortable. We’re all about less friction and more fun, yeah? On every purchase of Lit and/or OG, you get a DTF FREE!

What lubricant goes well with Lit and OG?
Water-based personal lubricants like DTF are compatible with both Lit and OG. Avoid using a silicone or oil-based lubricant as it can damage the products. On every purchase of Lit and/or OG, you get a DTF FREE!

Do Lit and OG make a lot of noise?
No, it’s pretty quiet and reaches a max volume of 40 dB. However, if you’re around peeps and doubtful, you may want to turn the fan on ;)

How do I clean and store Lit and OG?
We recommend washing it with mild soap/natural body wash like Neat and water after every use. You can pat it dry with a clean towel and store it in the cute pouch that comes along. Please keep it out of the way of direct sunlight. Store it in a cool and dry place. Don’t wash it with corrosive cleaners like acetone, alcohol, gasoline, etc.

How long does it take to charge Lit and OG?
It takes approximately 2 hours to fully charge the massagers.

How much is too much charging?
Charge Lit/OG fully before using it for the first time. Though one full charge will go a long way, it’s recommended that you charge it after every few uses, so it can work its best and last long.

I tried the charger but it doesn’t seem to be working. What can I do?
Just wiggle the charging cable a bit here, and a bit there, till you’re all set. You can even try to take the charger out altogether and re-insert it slowly till the light comes on.
